@7:00 AM, Men @8:15 AM (5M)
Please note: The NYRR Team Championships will be streamed live on NYRR’s Facebook page. Tune in Saturday, July 27, starting at 6:50 a.m. to see the city’s top running squads race for bragging rights.
Who has the fastest team in town? The city’s top running squads race for bragging rights in this teams-only five-miler.
This race is open only to members of established, NYRR-recognized teams (see requirements for entry below). Men and women race in separate events, with the women’s race taking place before the men’s race.
|Women’s Championship||7:00 a.m.|
|Men’s Championship||8:15 a.m.|
Note: Due to the smaller field sizes, each race will have only six corrals (AA through E). Please line up in your assigned corral, which may be different from your usual corral assignment.
Please remember to keep the park clean for park users! Please do not staple, tape, or stake any flyers to Central Park trees, benches, or light poles and do not erect any tents or string any tarps. If you choose to meet up with your team after finishing the race, please maintain a clean area and throw all trash into the provided garbage bins.
The NYRR Team Championships are men’s and women’s club points races worth double points.
Live unofficial results are available during the race at liveresults.nyrr.org and in the NYRR app. Features include leaderboards, map tracking, and an individual runner search that can be shared on Twitter. Tell your friends and family to follow your progress, and get unofficial results right after the race!
Requirements for Entry
Only members of established and NYRR-recognized running teams may enter this race and receive credit for it. However, you do not need to be a NYRR member to enter. In addition, entrants must have completed at least one NYRR scored/qualifying race between July 29, 2018 and July 26, 2019, for the team for which they will be scoring. Furthermore, they may not have competed for that team until at least 90 days after having competed for another team.
If a participating team has not fielded a full team in their division (men’s and women’s open, 40+, 50+, 60+, 70+) at a prior NYRR team-points race since January 1, 2018, the team may not score in that division at the NYRR Team Championships.
All team categories for the NYRR Team Championships are scored by net time. Team categories are as follows:
- Open: 10 men and 10 women score for a team in their respective races
- 40+: 5 men/5 women
- 50+: 3 men/3 women
- 60+: 3 men/3 women
- 70+: 3 men/3 women
